The Simulation Argument poses an interesting solution to the idea of God and soul in that though this extends a god-as-geek-gamer at the level directly above us it does not necessarily exclude god-as-God at level 0. This would, however, assumably not have any bearing on us in the simulation as we only exist as silicon-(or something)-based processors, i.e. there is no Cartesian duality at our level, only those processes causing the illusion of consciousness. Perhaps at level 0 the beings inhabiting it have a clearly definable soul and measurable God and there is no quibble over mind and body but here in our little section of simulation there is. This could even be why we have no proof one way or the other of God and soul, in order to see how beings such as us would react over time in a world where there is no proof. This is one consequence of a "Monster simulation."
